- The H.P. Lovecraft Centennial Conference
- This scholarly conference was held at Brown University on August 17 to 20, 1990, in celebration
of the 100th anniversary of Lovecraft’s birth.
- The Lovecraft Forum
- The Lovecraft Forum is a yearly event sponsored by Prof. Robert Waugh which has taken place at
the State University of New York at New Paltz since 1988. The event usually takes place the
fourth Thursday in October.
- MythosCon
- Covering all aspects of Lovecraft and his influence on popular culture, this convention took
place on January 6–9, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona.
- NecronomiCon
- This convention honors Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos in all forms and is held in
odd-numbered years. The first and second took place in Danvers, Massachusetts in 1993 and 1995,
and later “editions” took place in Providence, Rhode Island.

Historical Society Walking Tours
- The Society occasionally conducts walking tours of Lovecraftian Providence, generally around
Lovecraft’s birthday (August 20) and Halloween (October 31).
